October 1st Update:
The new hours of operation start today. The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday weekly until April 1st when the summer hours start.
Next time you are at the site, remember to pick up your recycling guide from the attendant and look for the recycling drop-off area to see what you can recycle on site! The recycling guide is also available at the side bar.
Wood waste will now be accepted at the transfer station site and the Colpitt Road location will be closed to the public.
Thank you for your patience during this transition phase. Please ask the attendant if you are unsure of where your waste goes.

The Winter schedule will have the site closed on Tuesday and Wednesday each week and will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. all other days. To print off a schedule select the Frost Creek Hours of Operation document from the side bar. Schedules will also be available at the site. CONTROLLED HOURS WILL START ON OCTOBER 1, 2014 FOR THE FROST CREEK SITE.
August 8th Update:
Thank you to those residents who attended the public meeting on August 7 at the Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Association clubhouse. Attendees acquired information about how the site will be operated in the Fall, including what recycling services will be provided. They also provided their input on what hours of operation they would like to see for the site.
Missed the meeting? No problem! The presentation is available to view at the side bar along with the link to the hours of operation survey. Please take a couple of minutes to complete the survey and then forward the link to your friends, family and neighbors who use the Frost Creek site. Surveys will be accepted until August 31, 2014.
During the summer of 2014 the Frost Creek Transfer Station will be under construction to provide a new waste management system that will allow for waste to be compacted on site. The site will also be expanded to create a wood and metals yard at the transfer station. The Share Shed will remain and household recycling bins will be provided in October.
Please be patient during the construction phase. Public access to the disposal bin is now located across the cattle guard. Please help us to keep the site clean by placing your waste into the bin, rather than in front of it.
To sign up for electronic updates on the site and public meetings or surveys email with “Frost Creek Transfer Station” in the Subject line.
