Hours of operation for the 150 Mile House site have been determined. The summer schedule will provide 10.5 hours of access 6 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with the site closed on Thursdays. The winter schedule will have the site closed on Wednesday and Thursday each week and will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. all other days. To print off a schedule select the 150 Mile House Hours of Operation document from the side bar. Schedules will also be available at the site. CONTROLLED HOURS WILL START ON NOVEMBER 1, 2014 FOR THE 150 MILE SITE.
The wood waste yard and metals yard will be closed to the public for the winter.
A public meeting will be held at the 150 Mile House Fire Hall at 3038 Pigeon Road. at 2 p.m. on September 13th. 150 Mile House Transfer Station patrons are encouraged to attend to learn more about how the site will be operated in the fall, learn what recycling services will be provided and give their input on what hours of operation they would like to see for the site.
The hours of operation survey can be completed on line by using the "Talk Trash" link at the side bar. Surveys will be accepted until September 30, 2014.
During the summer/fall of 2014 the 150 Mile House Transfer Station will be under construction to provide a new waste management system that will allow for waste to be compacted on site. A Share Shed will return and household recycling bins will be provided in October. An attendant will be on site during hours of operation to manage the facility and interact with the users.
Please be patient with us during the construction phase, and help us to keep the site clean by placing your waste into the open bin rather than in front of it.
