Emergency Services

Disasters can strike  Search and Rescue anywhere, anytime. The Cariboo Regional Districtoffers several emergency services, including 9-1-1 service, fire protection and search and rescue, all of which provide direct assistance to residents. The regional district also works in cooperation with Emergency Management BC (EMBC). The CRD also supports a region wide Emergency Social Services (ESS) program. This service is provided by a group of dedicated volunteers that assist in evacuations, usually in evacuee reception centres.

The EMBC provides various plans for natural disasters. Please click here for more information about this provincially funded program: Emergency Management BC
