Cariboo Strong is a region-wide economic development project. The goal of the project is to employ a locally-built approach to realizing economic diversification, transformation and growth for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal urban and rural communities in the Cariboo region in light of the economic challenges our communities are facing.

Initial meetings and conversations have begun in all three Cariboo sub-regions with local community members, municipalities and First Nations. Cariboo Strong team members have also met with Ministers and MLAs this summer and fall to discuss the project. Read about the background, goals and objectives of Cariboo Strong in the project outline found on the right-hand side of the page.

A full public launch of this project is anticipated for late fall 2016, so stay tuned for more updates and information soon. You can also sign up for our project mailing list by emailing
