Multi-Material Recycling Program

3Rs Promotion and Education Program
The District of 100 Mile House, City of Williams Lake and the City of Quesnel provide paper and large metal (vehicle and appliance) recycling programs in their urban areas for use by all regional district and municipal residents. The municipalities may collect other recyclable items, while considering those items being collected by independent industry stewardship initiatives.

Historically, the Cariboo Regional District has provided for the orderly collection of metal wastes at each of its rural refuse disposal sites through marshalling yards. These metals are salvaged by companies specialized in this area of recycling.
