Board of Directors

The Cariboo Regional District is governed by a board of Electoral Area Directors, who are elected by rural voters to serve three-year terms, and Municipal Directors, who are appointed by their municipal councils for up to one full term. The Board selects its own Chair and appoints members to sit on committees that deal with various regional concerns. There are 12 electoral area Directors and four Municipal Directors. The Board responds to locally-expressed needs for services and consults with residents about which services it can provide, where they are to be provided, and how they are to be financed.
